Kaunas city

Kaunas is the city where I grew up, so I can tell a lot of things about it. This city is second largest city in Lithuania and it was Lithuanian capital during 19201939 year. At this moment Kaunas city population is 305309 and it have lots of interesting places, so in this post I would like to advise which place you should visit if you going in this town.

Kaunas confluence

Kaunas
Kaunas confluence is the place where two biggest Lithuanian rivers ( Nemunas and Neris) facing each other. This place located near Kaunas old town and Kaunas castle so this place is always crowded of people. You should visit this Kaunas confluence because most of the Kaunas event is located in this area , also it's a really nice place to have a picnic.

Kaunas war museum

Kaunas war museum was build at 1921 thru the time when Kaunas was a capital city of Lithuania. A web site www.muziejai.ltis writing: ''The museum contains archaeological finds, weapons, firearms, ammunition, army uniforms of various states.'' I have been in this museum several times and in my opinion this place is worth to visit if you are going to Kaunas. This place is great because you can learn a lot of about Lithuanian history and culture.

 Amžinoji ugnis

Kaunas war museum is also well-known because of the Eternal altar. This altar purpose is to honor all dead soldiers

Kaunas Jazz

If you are planning to visit this city, but you don't have any particular date, you should visit Kaunas thru Kaunas Jazz festival. This festival is largest jazz festival in Lithuania and it well known in all of the world. This festival is great because many well-known jazz artist is coming to perform on the stages and most of the concert is free.
